Gregory S. Freer
Managing Director
An experienced structured products marketer and investment banker, Greg has worked on more than 60 transactions throughout his career. Most recently, Greg was a Managing Director and the Head of Origination for Wachovia's structured credit products platform, focused on structured solutions in the leveraged loan universe.
Prior to his tenure at Wachovia, Greg spent five years as a senior marketer for Bank of America, where he helped establish the structured products group at the bank. He was the primary relationship manager for collateralized loan obligation portfolio managers and insurance accounts in the United States.
Greg began his career at Bankers Trust, where he was responsible for designing and modeling the firm's first three collateralized bond obligation transactions as well as monitoring the global debt hedge funds.
Greg earned his master's degree in management from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1999, and his bachelor of science degree in business administration from Bucknell University in 1994.
He lives in Charlotte, N.C., with his wife, Erin; his son, Tyler; and his daughter, Emma.
